Totana's town centre is located 20 minutes from Mazarron and combines Moorish architectural styles with Baroque; agriculture is the main economy of the town where grapes, almonds and squash are grown and these can be found in abundance at the weekly market. Pottery is another economic activity in the area having over 50 pottery shops that export worldwide. Totana Town also has a bus station and rail station making it easily accessible.
