Tourism / Tourist Information...
The
commercial section of phase A Camposol hosts many bars,
restaurants
and shops
including an off-licence. The commercial complex on phase B boasts a
bowling
alley with pool tables games machines & internet stations
for everyone to use, around 14 bars & restaurants including Chinese,
Italian, Indian and a Steak House. There is also a large supermarket,
B&Q style store, petrol station, coffee shop and numerous banks.
The Golf Course has 18 holes, green fees start from €28, a bucket of balls for the driving range costs around €1. The club house is open to non members who want to take advantage of the good menu and enjoy the stunning views and the 4 Star Sensol hotel adjoining the golf course is also open to the public...
However,
there is no need to leave the complex to find enjoyment, the urbanization,
set within idyllic surroundings proposes a new style of life, in the
form of the detached villas with pools and chalets with wonderful views,
or you could use it as a base to explore all the enchantments that the
region of Murcia has to offer.
There are many villas for rent or you could use the Sensol hotel on Camposol, one of the many hotels in Puerto de Mazarron, or the camp site in Bolnuevo.
Beaches...
Mazarron offers over 35km of beautiful coastline with over 300 days of sunshine per year with an average of 20 degrees. There are over 20 coves running from Isla Plana (the majority are easily reached by the coast road) right down to Bolnuevo which also has a nudist beach and all offer ideal conditions for beach and sea lovers or for those who enjoy long walks along the coastline.
Opposite
Bolnuevo beach (which has quite a lot of English
bars & restaurants) is one of the most spectacular landscapes of
the region, wind and water have eroded the famous sandstone cliffs and
created beautiful shapes known as "Bolnuevo Erosions".
Most of the beaches have restaurants and bars close
by if not actually on the beach, the best beach for families is probably
the "Playa de Puerto de Mazarron" in the centre of town which
is surrounded by lots of cafes, bars & shops.
Leisure...
For nautical activities Mazarron has a marina with over 200 moorings, there are clubs which offers courses for beginners and advanced levels, it is possible to practice rowing, sea paragliding, water skiing and speedboat racing, and for divers there are courses at all levels enabling you to enjoy the spectacular underwater caves and grottos.
For
Hikers there are several long and alluring
walks, the endless coastline routes or paths offer stunning scenery,
or if you prefer more of an inland trek there is the Sierra Espuna.
For Cyclists there is a choice of coastal,
hilly and even mountainous rides, that offer good quality, traffic free
roads that are the quietist in Europe. For Mountain
Bikers there are a huge variety of tracks and trails in the local
area, some rocky coastal routes and some open mountainous terrain.
Not forgetting the Children, they can go horse riding, paintballing or visit the fantastic Terra Natura Water Park with its many pools, water shoots, play areas with bouncy castles, trampolines and children’s splash pool. The park also incorporates a Zoo with over 50 species of animals (35 minutes from Camposol).
Shopping Centres...
Murcia
City has two large shopping complexes; Nueva
Condomina and Thader which have a variety
of big-name clothing stores including H&M, Primark, Zara, C&A
& many more... With plenty of eating establishments to suite every
taste; supermarkets and electrical stores together with a large cinema
& bowling alley - this would be a fun-filled day out. For the ex-pats
looking to move to Spain there is also an IKEA superstore for you to
kit-out your Camposol home.
The historical city of Cartagena has a large shopping complex, again with clothes stores, eating establishments, supermarkets, electrical stores, DIY stores, Cinema and a Casino.
If shopping is not the theme of your holiday then sightseeing surely will be as both Murcia & Cartagena are historical cities with numerous churches, palaces, museums and ancient monuments.
