order to provide the very best to residents and visitors, Camposol

hotel offers thematic double en-suite bedrooms and lounges
based on the 5 elements. The facilities & services are designed
to accommodate everyone, facilities include; conference rooms, tennis courts, a poolside bar and more. With additional facilities for those who
wish to take full advantage of their holiday, there is the anti-stress

itself is the main town with everything you would expect; a town hall,
daily indoor fresh produce market, banks, medical facilities, shops,
primary & secondary schools etc. Then, there is the seaside resort
town, Puerto de Mazarron with pedestrianised walkways, a new multi million
euro marina complete with underground parking, shops,
bars
& restaurants
and of course the beach which has been awarded the coveted Blue Flag
for water quality over consecutive years.

Mazarron
spelt Mazarrón itself is characterized by its
mining past and maritime tradition, having many important historical
castles & defensive towers; you will not be able to miss the ruins
of the castle of Los Velez. There are also a number of beautiful churches;
the 16th Century San Andres (situated behind the town hall) with its
stunning mudejar paneling. The 19th Century Town Hall in the square
with its modernist style, and the distinctive Old Cultural Centre.
It is also steeped in history dating back to the Roman times, there is now open to the public a roman salting museum which is well worth a visit. Also worthy of note is the discovery of two Phoenician Boats; the oldest in the world, found in the waters of Mazarron in 1989 following some underwater exploration, the excavation of the 1st boat was carried out in 1995 and is now in the National Sub- aquatic Archaeological Museum the 2nd boat still remains under the sea.
The major towns and villages of the region are host to many open air music and dance festivals particularly throughout the summer months.

The
thermal spring at El Saladillo, is a pleasant walk
just along from phase B. Providing ample evidence of the volcanic nature
of the area. The hot springs have a continuous stream of 50°C water
flowing out of the ground; unfortunately being in a remote area it would
be difficult to put the spring to any particular use as the water just
flows away to the nearby Rambla. Several "splash pools" have
been dug into the earth and several channels have been created for the
hot water to flow.
You can be completely immersed in the health giving waters if you so wish. We have used them and must say the waters certainly refresh your skin. If visiting the Hot Springs please bear in mind that there is nothing at the location so if you wish to bathe you will need to make your own arrangements for changing and drying yourself.

Used
in the making of the 1961 film "The guns of Navarone".
This certainly is a place of interest for both military historians and
photographers as the views of the Mediterranean alone are breathtaking.
The fort which is built into the mountainside in the style of a castle
is now abandoned but there is still plenty to see, the centrepiece being
two enormous batteries which were once part of the shore defences
for Cartagena. There are sighting points, artillery
rooms; control rooms etc. (take a torch as some of the artillery rooms
are quite dark).
Directions - head for La Azohia but do not turn at La Azohia keep going until you see a turning on the right for Campillo de Adentro take this road it will take you through a very small village whereupon you will come to a no entry military road (ignore the no entry signs they haven't been removed for years) now for approximately the next 7km you will be on a twisting and winding narrow mountainous road (need to keep your wits about you) you will then be able to see the Fort.
