Air Ambulance Lands On Camposol CarPark (03.08.09)
At Approx 12.00pm an air ambulance landed on the un-tarmac car park of the Sector B Commercial Centre on the Camposol Urbanisation followed shortly by two local police motor bikes and an ambulance.
All the above was to aid a local business woman who had tripped on some steps on the Sector A Commercial Centre. The woman fell hitting her head but feeling fine she returned to work where she became light-headed & collapsed (rendering herself unconscious). After an emergency phone call to request first aid the ambulance & helicopter were dispatched as head wounds (depending on the severity) are a high priority & treated at Cartagena Hospital.
After an initial diagnosis from the ambulance staff they decided that there was no need for the air ambulance to rush the woman to Cartagena hospital so the ambulance took her to be treated instead.
We see that this incident should reassure residents & boost confidence in the emergency services.
