Camposol Fiesta Is Almost Here! (16.06.09)

CAMPOSOL FIESTA - Spain is the land of Fiestas and Urbanisation Camposol is no exception, this year the fiesta will be held over 2 days (Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th June 2009) on Sector B by the Commercial Centre. The Fiesta takes place outdoors with music, dancing, fireworks and involves all the community getting together for a great deal of fun. Saturday 27th June 2009

12.00 Official Opening by the Excmo. Sr. Alcalde don Francisco Blaya Sideshows including bouncy castle for adults & children! Coconut shy, Aunt Sally, hooks a duck, hoopla, knock down the cans, paint ball target range, and spin the arrow.

Stalls with MAB's own cake making competition, PAL's games stall Los Amigos de Mazarron will be selling their football shirts & a soak the ref game, a craft fair with over 20 stalls of local artists, try your hand at mosaics, glass painting, art, clay modelling, scarves, jewellery, photography, games stall, cards and Glitzy Bitz.

Beer and food tents run by many of the local bars including Cats, Tels, Alley Palais, Trevi, & Kennelly's with food in the evening. All the local bars and restaurants on Camposol will be open in addition.

Sunday 28th June

09.45 Camposol Crazy Olympics - Fun run to start and then 6 easy events for one all and a tug of war with a men's and ladies competition. Who will win the trophies this year? This will run until everyone is exhausted!
12.00 Grand Parade of Classic cars; this involves private cars from the area along with several car clubs including the prestigious Club Ruta del Sol. They will parade around Camposol stopping at the Sensol Hotel for a little refreshment (compliments of the Hotel) and then return to the lower car park where they can be viewed. This will be followed by a light lunch for the entrants at the Trevi sponsored by the English Butchers on Sector A Camposol and Camposol Heating & Maintenance (CHM)

12.00 Live local bands, including popular jazz band, A La Mode, Mike Barrett & Madhatter
14.00 Scruff's Dog show for the Café Fund Judged by Carol Hawkins from Please Sir

All bands and artist playing today are giving services free of charge and will be from the local circuit.

On the day there will be a Photography competition, - theme - "capturing the spirit of the Fiesta" - with an exhibition at the Camposol Business Centre. Maximum entry 3 photos, 6 x 4 prints, any age, amateurs! Entries by 4th July to Foto Kwik on Camposol Sector A.
