Marc Robinson as Buddy Holly LIVE at Kennellys (16.11.08)

Well, yet another fabulous show to come out of Kennellys. On the popular resort of Camposol a 'jet lagged' Marc Robinson still found the energy to bounce around the stage and open the evening with the unforgettable 'Peggy Sue', followed by 'That'll Be The Day'. He worked the 170 strong audience, taking them back to the days when music was only available on vinyl and rock and roll was in its prime.

There were 2 nights available to see Buddy Holly entertain (Sunday 16th & Monday 17th November), I myself attended the first of two nights of pure nostalgia, and being only 22 had my doubts about what I was going to see, but as the first few songs drew to a close I found my feet tapping and my ears wanting more...

The atmosphere was electric all evening with the bar staff wanting to join all the other jive bunnies on the dance floor. So that long time lovers in the audience could have a gentle dance with their partners; Buddy slowed the evening down a little with 'Raining In My Heart', others took this opportunity to rest their legs and sing along with him which they did without missing a word.

Marc Robinson, who performed on stars in their eyes & has been one of the best Buddy Holly tribute acts for over 15 years, also entertained the audience of 130+ people on Monday - bringing back all the good memories of the 50s and 60s.

In my opinion it's nice to attend a venue that allows people to not only come out to see a great show, but also join in the fun. Buddy ended the night on a high with a rapturous applause and a dance floor full of jive thirsty faces.

A special thank you must go to Nicole (co-owner of Kennellys) along with her husband, who managed to make this a wonderful weekend for over 300 more than happy patrons.
