Simon King as Freddie Starr LIVE at Kennellys (19.10.08)

It's Starr Time! Definitely one of the most anticipated and talked about shows to come to Kennellys on Camposol in Murcia Spain, the night started off with the great STEVE FISHER a local ROD STEWART Tribute Act who had the audience of over 200 people singing along to "Maggie May", "Sailing" & "Baby Jane" to name just a few, then Shaun; the owner of Kennellys gave everyone time to get a few drinks and use the toilet before "Freddie Starr" appeared.

Thankfully for the ladies in the audience there were no maggots thrown or mention of eating hamsters - but entertainer SIMON KING as "Freddie Starr " was able to spellbind the audience with his cheeky and offbeat humour; there were plenty of surprises from "Freddie" mainly directed at the understandably nervous people sitting close to the stage.

Before anyone could prepare themselves "Freddie" began his attack concentrating on a young local sitting on the table closest to the stage, staring at him provocatively and whispering "I love you" from that moment on the audience were in hysterics.

As unpredictable as ever he wondered around the audience making lewd comments to people, requesting sexual groaning noises from an elderly lady right down to calling Shaun a "w**ker" along with many other names. He kept the night moving along with one blue joke after another some short and sweet some with a big build up, even when some of those present were rude enough to heckle, his acid tongue had the audience hysterical and applauding for more.

"Freddie" also has a decent singing voice as he demonstrated with a couple of Elvis songs.

As he left the stage at the end of the evening there wasn't a dry eye in the house, Make sure you don't miss him next time he's at Kennellys, get your tickets early.
